Okay, Im on my second day of accutane and just want more facts.
I have been perscribed 60mg a day for about two-three months, keep in mind that i do weighh 160. Is that too much/ too little of a dosage.?
And also i was wondering what the best possible way to keep side affects under control are, suggestions.?Health Question & Answer

The dosage depends on not only your weight, but also the severity of your acne. You can only tell if the dosage is too small after a few weeks. If there's no change in your acne, then you probably need a higher dose. If the dose is too large, you'll be able to tell soon because you won't be able to tolerate the side effects. The only thing you can do to minimize the side effects is to STAY OUT OF THE SUN! You're about to have some major dryness. I mean like you've never experienced before. Redness, cracking, peeling, etc. Drink plenty of water & try to be good to your body by getting plenty of rest & eating nutritious food. I was on a very small dose because my acne was minimal. It just didn't respond to any other treatment so that's why I got to be on Accutane. And I LOVED it. Nuked those zits & they never came back.Health Question & Answer
60mg sounds right for your weight. Two to three months is quite short, though...Typically you'd use it for at least 6 months.
The only side effects that most people experience is dry skin/lips/nose. Just remember to moisturize often and drink lots of water. Health Question & Answer

ive had acutane.
they started me out with 35 mg.
but then again i weigh 105 pounds.
and then i went up to 60. si i think thats fine for you.
i had chaped lips and dry skin, but i just started to use more chapstick and lotion then it was fine. Health Question & Answer
