How do you feel about vaccinations? ?!

I think we give way too many in general and certainly way too many at too young an age. I don't get a flu shot and have not had any vaccinations in years and won't. And this Guardasil thing is a big scam. It protects against an extremely small percentage of cases, but the maker got the government to make it mandatory so they could make lots of money selling it. If I had a young daughter she would definitely NOT get it. While some of them are necessary, I feel that a lot of the recent ones (within the last fifteen years) are being pushed upon the general public in an attempt to profit off of them.

Just look at Governor Rick Perry in Texas who was pushing the cervical cancer vaccine in his state. The side effects are still unknown yet he pushed it because he had financial interests in the pharmeceutical company that manufactured the vaccine.Health Question & Answer

You don't have a choice about childhood vaccines. Your kid will not even be allowed in school with out. Besides, how would you feel if your child died or got crippled from a preventable disease.? On the other hand I've heard bad stuff about kids being crippled from the shots themselves. What I did was a compromise. When my boy was little I did get his vaccinations but I waited just a few months longer than the recommended time. If he was supposed to receive a shot at 2 years old, I made the appointment at about 2 yrs and 3 or 4 months. I don't want any virus in me at all and that is what vaccines are, dead virus to make your body produce antibodies to fight the bacteria it thinks it has. I suppose it all depends! The Flu" one I dread, because I have not had the flu since I was 11. And I had a flu shot 2 years ago, and had an adverse reaction, which if I recollect correctly, was MUCH worse than that one time, at eleven, down with flu. I think they try to give to many at once to children...I only allow them to give two at a time to my children...they wanted to give my son 6 at one time and I said I don't think so.

Flu Vaccines for older people I think is a great idea, if it worked. I know way to many people that get it and get sick from the shot or get the flu anyway..Health Question & Answer
