A sore throat to what extent.? IF it feels raw as if kind of burning then you could have such as acid reflux. It needs to be treated with an antacid. You should try the following and see if there is improvement.

Put the head of your bed up slightly higher than the rest of how you sleep . This helps the acid in the throat go down instead of up then.Try either using 2 pillows piled up or to raise the head of the bed a little.

You can do that by putting a small book at the corner at the underside on the top part of the bed. also do NOT eat or drink any 2 hours before bed. That won't make you digesting and making more acid when you go to lay down still and sleep and this will be calmed down during this.

I would say IF that helps to improve this you need to use antacids.

Sometimes throat pain is due to things happen in the digestive system.
I also knew a woman that woke up with this and it worsened , when she got it checked it was throat cancer. They removed it but had to use part of her stomach to be as a throat tube. She smoked then too.

I would keep an eye on it and try things to see if it's easily improved or not and go by that. IF it worsens you need to get it looked at soon.Health Question & Answer
