How to properly interpret the numbers that follow the drug name on a prescription label?!

Question: How to properly interpret the numbers that follow the drug name on a prescription label.?
Several days ago my mother had ACD surgery and was prescribed several different medications to take now that she is home. My question is this: what do the numbers that follow the drug name mean.? How can we tell how much stronger/weaker the replacement pain meds will be.?

They read:

HYDROCODONE/APAP 7.5MG/750MG

and

OXYCODONE/APAP 5MG/325MG

I typed some numbers into this site: http://www.globalrph.com/narcoticonv.htm

With the smaller numbers (7.5 and 5) the result was equal. When I tried the larger numbers (325 and 750), it indicated that the Hydrocodone was more potent. This is what is confusing us, since the Hydrocodone is what she will be taking once the Oxycodone is gone.

*** The directions on how many to take and how often is perfectly clear. It is the numbers on top that are confusing us and so I am asking this just out of general curiosity.***

Many thanks in advance!Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Hydrocodone/APAA 7.5/750 means there is 7.5 mg of Hydrocodone in the pill and 750 mg of tylenol in it.
Same with the other one: Oxycodone/APAP 5/325 is 5 mg of oxycodone in it and 325 mg of tylenol.

The first one has more of the narcotic pain reliever in it, is stronger and will do better with the worst pain. Oxycodone helps with surgical pain and the Hydrocodone is a step down that will still fight her pain but not be as strong so that she can start weaning down from the narcotics. Hope that helps and your mom feels better soon.Health Question & Answer

7.5=750 mg
5mg of Oxycodone
325mg of APAP
