Did you hear a subtle rumbling noise in your ears whilst looking up.?
Well, I do whenever I look up like that and it only happens when I'm sitting down or laying down.

The "rumbling" that you hear is probably caused by changes in blood flow around your temples as you flex the muscles in your face to rotate your eyes upward.
