What can I do about dry air?!
Question: What can I do about dry air.?
My apartment has an old gas heater in it and I heard that it will dry out my skin if I don't do something to fix it. Is there a cheap way I can stop that from happening.?Health Question & Answer
Answers:
Get a dehumidifier ($20-30). Keep it running while you are in your apartment. It's best to keep it in the room you are using - especially at night. You might also want to get a little device that tells you the humidity level and temperature in the room (costs about $20). It's best to keep the humidity level between 40-50%.
A good alternative is to place a bucket, bowl or other open container of water near the heater. The water will slowly evaporate into the air, making it slightly more humid. It just isn't as effective as a dehumidifier.Health Question & Answer
