Question: HELP! am i gonna die in my sleep tonight.?
I am so GOOFY...at least once a week at work i am getting up from a squatting position and hitting my head hard on metal rods. now my husband is telling me i can die from this. Today, i accidentally hit my head after getting up from bending down to pick something up, i bumped above my forehead on a metal rod HARD. it hurt but i didnt black out. now it is still sore, a small bump, but no dizziness, no nausea, just sore. Can i really die from this, or is he overreacting. He said he had seen on TV that an old man hit his head in a car accident and walked out of it thinking he was fine but went home and died a few hours later from a blood clot that had pressed against his brain or something. please help me assure my husband that i am not gonna die...Health Question & Answer

I'm sure it's not good for you to hit your head like that but I don't think you will die. You kill 1000's of brain cells every time you hit your head and they don't come alive again!Health Question & Answer

You could get a concussion but you'd have to really slam your head to die.
