Question: I'm so curious about this, anyone that hears that light distinct noise before you turn a television on..?
It's not the television itself but before that. Right after you turn it on theres this sound wave kind of sound. Almost like a light "beep". I've asked many relatives but non of them hear it. I was wondering does anyone hear it too.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Yes, that is a common thing with TVs. Most people can't hear this sound, but because you can, it proves that you have good hearing.

Why it does this is because when you turn the TV on, the little lights that make up the TV have to suddenly switch on. For example, if you go to a static station, you will notice that there are little grey circles going around the screen. This is because the lights haven't recieved anything.

When you turn on the TV, that sound if coming from the very quick moment of the reception and all the little dots having to light up.

Hope that helps! Now for the Kamikaze Watermelon's exit...

It could be the type of remote you are using. Some use sound others use light. It could be a pulse from the remote. I hear my screen crackling and sometimes a rising tone as it warms. My TV warms before it turns on the screen.Health Question & Answer

I hear it too and no one else hears it either its the light inside the television turning on though (I did research) I hate the noise I hope this helps.Health Question & Answer

Yeah, I've heard something like that before. I thought it was the TV though! Not sure what else it could be.Health Question & Answer
