Stress can indeed cause fatigue, and teens need lots more sleep than they get, but you should feel refreshed after a couple of days of catching up. If this continues for a few weeks, and no matter how much you sleep, you don't feel restored, you need to see a doctor. Do you have a low grade fever, swollen glands, slight sore throat. These are symptoms of a virus or mono. Are your fingernails pale.? Maybe anemia..quick fix: Iron tablets. CFS: chronic fatigue syndrome.? There are many possibilities, and if it continues, get it checked out. Keep a list of all your symptoms, how many hours you are sleeping, what you're eating. You might need a better diet, vitamins.....it could even be carbon monoxide exposure. Is your bedroom over a garage.?
Make sure you note when the symptoms started, and what makes it worse or better. It could even be STD exposure. The more info you can give your doctor, the faster he can target the problem. Good luck, and hope you feel better soon.Health Question & Answer

Fatigue can be a normal and important response to physical exertion, emotional stress, boredom, or lack of sleep. The links have more info, but don't get carried away. The cause of your problem is probably temporary, you will get through it. If it continues, see your doctor. Try to set a 'normal' schedule for sleeping, eating and exercise. That will help.Health Question & Answer

It could be Anemia. I went to the doctor about the same problem with being tired. I can't even stay awake for 4 hours straight without having a nap.

Ask your doctor about getting a bloodtest done. That's how they discovered my Anemia. Health Question & Answer
