Answers:
No, it is absolutely not normal. From that description it could be easy to guess that you might have something like a flu, but you didn't say you felt lousy, and the flu would have you feeling horrible. When the body has a fever, you end up feeling cold and shivering because your body is so much warmer than normal. It is possible that you have a touch of flu or another type of infection, so I'm going to suggest treating it like that, but since that may not be the only problem I will say more after that. Bundle up, wear as much clothing as you can and drink hot drinks like hot chocolate, tea, soup broth, or soups. Don't drink coffee at all. If you put your hand on your forehead, it it feels hot to the touch, you probably have a fever - only if you feel hot, take a couple of aspirin now and every 4 hours for the next day or so. And I'd suggest going to bed - since you can't sleep well, suggest turning off lights early, make it dark, as dark as possible - darkness triggers the body into sleep mode and it helps induce sleeping.

Now, if this is not the flu, it is possible that you have a thyroid condition - an overactive or underactive thyroid can cause the type of symptoms you are having. If that is the case, you absolutely need to see a doctor and have the thyroid levels checked. It is a simple blood test to check for thyroid hormone levels, and if there is a problem, the doctor will prescribe medications.

And last to consider, have you been eating well.? Because if your diet has changed or you are eating less than normal, the body could be reacting to that. Make sure you are getting enough to eat.
