Answers:
The mind of a child or abused person does what it needs to do to survive. That may mean "forgetting" the abuse, it may mean an absolute refusal to speak of it [as in "it really didn't happen"], it may mean out of control anger over something else, and a host of other symptoms. It is very important that the person who may have been abused be given access to an excellent, skilled therapist.Health Question & Answer

Yes it is very possible, these could be signs of PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). When a person goes through a very traumatic experience their mind may block out what happened in an attempt to keep your body from going into stress (which can harm you). It's your body's way of protecting itself, but the person needs to be talked to to realize what happened so they can confront it and return to as normal as they can be. A prolonged time with no treatment of PTSD can lead to several mental problems.Health Question & Answer
