Question: I'm worried about a bump I found under my skin... help.?
Last night I was in the bath and washing the area of my skin right in front of my collar bone on my right side. I felt a small bump about the size of a pea under my skin, and I was able to move it around a bit. It doesn't hurt and it's not red and it hasn't come to a head or anything, it's too deep under the skin for that. None of my other glands are swollen so I'm not sure if that's what it is. I am prone to cystic acne but none of my cysts have ever been that deep, and it was weird that I could move it around a bit. Anyone know what it is.? I am thinking of going to the walk-in doctor to get it checked out.

The location and description sounds like a lymph node to me. I've always been able to feel them in that area on my son. They feel like a pea. You have lymph nodes in that area around your collar bone and along your neck. You can go to the MD. to check it out if it doesn't go away just to be sure, but it should be fine and is not unusual to feel them. Lymph nodes can become swollen from infection so if it does not go away you may want to have it checked out. Health Question & Answer
I'm sure something like this has happened to me before. It'll go away after a few days, I thought it was some sort or cancer, lol! It went away after 5-6 days. Trust me, or otherwise you'll have to see a doctor.....Health Question & Answer
Sounds like a cyst. They can form pretty deep and are loose sub-dermally. I'd have it checked out by a doctor just for peace-of-mind. Health Question & Answer
