What could be the cause of this stomach ache?!
Question: What could be the cause of this stomach ache.?
I've had it for 2 days now. The pain is in my upper abdomen, across my stomach a few inches below my ribs. Although there is a constant dull ache, I keep getting these really painful spasms which last for a few minutes a time. I haven't been able to eat anything for over 24 hours as I keep feeling sick, although I have not vomited.
I'm also feeling generally mildly ill and lethargic, with a mild headache, and my groins hurt as well, although I don't know how to tell if the glands are swollen.

The stomach pain and spasms sound like gastritis which can be caused by a virus, or by something you've eaten, such as undercooked meat.
Your other symptoms could fit with a viral illness too, but definitely go see your doctor. Only he/she will be able to tell you definitely.Health Question & Answer

Two days is kind of long and if it persists then go and see your doctor about it. Drink water and lie down. It might be constipation due to something you ate and so drink water and don't eat much until the pain subsides. Your glands are on the sides of your head behind your ears. There are some in the groin and under your arms . Usually if you have the flu which it might be then you would feel sleepy and feverish and your glands near your ears would be puffy and swollen. You would know when they are swollen. Rest and lie down so that you aren't putting added pressure on the upper abdomen. Good luck . See a doc.Health Question & Answer
