Difficult to swallow with pain on one side of the neck?!

Question: Difficult to swallow with pain on one side of the neck.?

For a few days now my neck has felt sore in the front/side near the gland. When I go to swallow I have to pause for a second then swallow. also, when I move my head certain ways my neck feels sore in the same place. The soreness is only on one side of my neck and my throat does not hurt.
If it continues I will go to the doctor but I just wanted to hear some opinions on what it could be.Health Question & Answer

Its most likely a swollen gland. which is what it is supposed to do. it stops infection from getting to the rest of your body. But I would get it checked out just the same. there are too many things it could be.Health Question & Answer

Could be mumps that hasn't affected the other side yet. Could be an infection in one salivary gland. Could probably be other things I'm not thinking of.Health Question & Answer
