Young lady,
It's perfectly natural to free how you're feeling. Part of these feelings is because of the hormone changes your body is going through. Your body is telling you it's time to become a woman and your mind is saying "no I want to stay a little girl". My daughter went through the same thing. Now at 16 she's very happy.

You've given yourself a "reason" for the crying but the reality is that the hormones will cause you to cry about all sorts of things. These feelings will pass once the hormones settle and then you will enjoy growing up. : )

Have a great Birthday!Health Question & Answer

Darling, you're 13. You still have a good 5 years before you even reach adulthood. When I was 13, I didn't want to grow up either. i mean, life's pretty good when you're a kid. But I'm 16 now and I know I'm not getting any younger and there's no way to stop it. So I just have to prepare for it, and now that I'm preparing, it's pretty exciting.

I still read kiddy books from time to time. For one thing I love to read, for another it does bring back memories.

I think the one thing that helped me the most to embrace my preparation for adulthood would be when I got a job at age 14. I worked at a library for a year and it was absolutely amazing and I learned how much fun the work world could be - and even though adults have a lot of responsibilities, that doesn't mean they don't have fun! I had so much fun that when I moved a year later, I went the summer without a job and it drove me nuts! I'm glad I got a job at a coffee house a couple months ago.

You're still young. But don't be afraid of adulthood. It's going to come anyway, and you've still got 5 years. You'll enjoy it! Trust me. ;)

btw, happy birthday!Health Question & Answer
