Question: My throat hurts when I'm in my dorm room.?
I've dusted off and vacuumed the room but my throat still hurts. It only hurts when I'm in my dorm, because when I go home on the weekends, it gets better in a day and when I come back to my dorm, it starts hurting again. Is there a way to prevent this and why does it hurt.?Health Question & Answer

You have to be allergic to SOMETHING in that dorm! Do you have any stuffed animals in there.? You could go to an allergist, and in five minutes they can see exactly what you're allergic to. The test doesn't hurt a bit. Or,
Try taking certain things out of the room one by one to check. Could it be air-conditioning.? I hope you figure it out! That's a bummer! :(

Your throat hurts because you feel an inability to "Speak up for yourself", it is actually a mind problem and not a medical one. When you go home at weekends you are are relaxed with the family and there is no need for the throat to constrict.
It has nothing whatsoever to do with dust in the room. When you next get this problem become aware of what you are thinking and feeling because this is where the throat problem stems from. Once you have identified where the hurting throat is coming from, you then have to do work on yourself and become more self aware of your thoughts and feelings so that you can deal with the problem.
