Why don't they ask me to count down?!
Question: Why don't they ask me to count down.?
I've had plenty of surgeries and the anethesiologist never asked me to count back to ten. I just fall asleep.
So why do they ask some people to count down but not me.? Doesn't take me long to fall asleep.

They used to, but now I think the anesthesia works faster & is more efficiently.
My 1st surgery I was told to count back from 100, then later surgeries they just told me to take a deep breath & the next thing I knew I was in the recovery room!Health Question & Answer

I've had 11 surgeries and most of the time they have just said something like, "take nice deep breaths, relax, you'll be asleep soon." I think that every anesthesiologist has their own way of phrasing. I was asked to count down in a couple of surgeries and I don't think I ever made it past 4 of 5 before I was out.Health Question & Answer
