Question: Sneezed & nose is bleeding for an hour!.?
i've had nose bleeds my whole life and so i've tried the humidifiers and blah blah blah.
i've gotten both veins in my nostrils cauterized (like burning them offf or something) like when i was ten (now 14)
i get them at random times such as when a fire alarm rings or when i'm jumping.
i sneezed about an hour ago and my nose started bleeding.
like normal, i just held it and hoped for it to stop. after 5 minutes i put a little piece of tissue (like always) up there incase it was still bleeding.
now an hour later, my nose is still bleeding.

My husband has this same problem. He was told by his doctor to use Ayr Saline Nasal Spray and to use a humidifier. Not too long ago, he had a nose bleed that he just couldn't seem to get to stop. When he went to the ER they made him squeeze his nose (just don't do it too hard) between his eyes for a few minutes. Afterward, a little blood flowed out and then that was the end of his nosebleed. My friend got his nose cauterized 3 times and they didn't stop completely but they slowed down. What really helped is Ayr Gel. You can get it at the pharmacy. Put it in your nose at night or throughout the day depending on when they occur.
As far as the one you have no I'd go to the doctors if it continues.

Put a cold block (or frozen peas wrapped in a tea towel) on the back of your neck. It will cool down the blood, and hopefully slow it down a bit.Health Question & Answer
