I had my tonsils out 5 days ago and the scab is still (growing.?lol) How many days does it take for the scab to be done and fall out.? Does it hurt when it comes out.?Health Question & Answer
Answers:
Scab starts falling out at 7 days. It may bleed some then. Gentle rinse with warm salt water. Watch for heavy bleeding. At the 7th day, my daughter was taken into emergency surgery at 3 am for hemorrhaging at the site of the scabs. It is an unusual occurrence.
