Question: How do you remove pencil lead from your hand.?
Being the ditz I am, I got pencil lead stuck in my hand... don't ask. I tried pulling it out with tweezers but it just made it worse, and I really don't feel like driving down to the doctor's and paying $50 to get a piece of pencil out of my hand. I've been wearing a band-aid over it because it hurts, and I washed it with water. It bled minimally. Am I being wrong by not seeing a doctor.? Should I call someone else for help.? A very hot compress should raise it. Hot water over a facecloth or hand towel. Soak it, soften up the skin, be ready to pop it out when it rises.

Get a needle and pull it out. Pencils aren't lead they are graphite, so don't worry about lead poisoning. Don't go to the doctor for a splinter. It will come out eventually.Health Question & Answer
use tweezers, and if not squeeze the skin around the part the lead is in and it will start to come out, THEN use the tweezers!!!!! :DHealth Question & Answer
Use heat, a burning hot needle and/or a tweezer to take it out slowly! Be careful, it might get infected. If it does call a doc right away!!Health Question & Answer
