Question: Are Nail Salons regulated by the Local Enviromental Heath Dept., in the UK.?

i would be very interested to hear from anybody who actually knows the answer to this. myself, my friend & her daughter...all contracted nail infections from a Nail Bar which had to be treated with anti-biotics from the Doctor...& i'm pretty annoyed about it.
