I have a very bad cold right now, with a runny nose, cough, and all that.
For the past day or 2 when I blow my nose, sort of a dark blue-black snot comes out. It's not a lot, but it is something...
I've heard that you can tell a lot by your snot, so I am wondering if this is anything bad.?

I was always told when my boys were little by doctors that if their nose drainage was clear that there was no need to bring them to the dr. If the drainage began showing color (usually yellow or green) then they needed and antibiotic.
You could always call you dr. office and ask to speak with a nurse. Most will tell you whether you need to come in or not.

It is gross....get it checked. It may be a bacterial infection or something building up in your liver....is your skin dull. Not normal.
But this is gross....some asian men eat women out while they are on their period and swallow it because they believe the blood has healing properties. So with that said it's not the worst thing. Just get it checked before it becomes worse:)Health Question & Answer

if you spend a lot of time in a polluted area then that can make your snot a darker colour so you will probably be fine
