If you were a kid bored at the hospital, what would you want.?

I'm able to spend around $20 or so.

Thank you in advance for all thoughtful suggestions!Health Question & Answer

I'm only a little older than the guy having his tonsils removed.

Depends how long after the operation you visit him.

Ice cream would be nice to help cool the mouth down, Jelly or banana. But you can't have them to early after the operation.

Find out what he likes;

Maybe a little car, magazine or puzzle book to keep him occupied.
A book

Or if his ward has a DVD or video player you could take him something to watch.

Maybe a little poster he could keep while he's in there.

A pack of cards, simple and very cheap.

You could also take him a game like battle ships. You can get mini portable and travel ones.

Even though he's old he might like a teddy.

And don't forget, A lot of hugs and kisses :)

I was going to say "ice cream"..but it will melt, lol. Kids his age love video games. Maybe you could get him some type of "brain teaser" game.? Or, a nice set of pens and a fancy "boys" pad of paper (stationary). He could use that to write things down for the first few days of his recovery so that he doesnt have to speak.? When my daughter got hers removed, she said it hurt really bad for almost a week to talk. Maybe also a gift card so he can go to the store and buy himself something of his own as a treat the day he gets out.?

Hope some of these suggestions help you. Take care.Health Question & Answer

A comic book or a funny book, I suggest Diary of a geek, sort of like a comic- regular book mix, it shows the life of a very funny boy who considers himself a geek and it has many drawings and stuff, my 12 year old found it hilarious, couldn't put it down.
