Answers:
Most likely not, I space heater usually does not get hot enough to give a third degree burn (burn has completely penetrated the skin leaving a leather texture and no sensation in the skin)...It can cause a first degree burn if the heater is actually touching your skin...if it is touching move it away. During the cold months of the year people use heaters in their homes, cars, and offices. Our skin and hair require a certain amount of moisture to maintain a healthy appearance, usually when we use heaters and take hot showers we tend to dry out our skin membranes, hair, and scalp...which is why dandruff is more prominent during colder months. Our skin requires a certain moisture level and placing a heater close to you is probably drying out your skin and causing minor irritation. Move the heater away from you and make sure the exposed skin in moisturized...apply lotion every two hours the irritation should go away. The lighter you skin is the more susceptible you are to this problem. If it does not improve you may want to see a dermatologist.Health Question & Answer

There's no way you can get third degree burns, the pain would be unbearable, but I would go to the doctor, that doesn't sound normal.Health Question & Answer

stop using it, and see a dr.Health Question & Answer
