I've got a horrible sore throat - what can I do to feel better while I wait it out?!

Question: I've got a horrible sore throat - what can I do to feel better while I wait it out.?
I've been drinking ice water, but it really only helps /as/ it's going down, not after. And I really don't want to be drinking water all night. I have some Halls cough drops, which work okay, but I've been eating them all day and am kind of sick of them...plus it's the same deal. Once they're gone, my throat hurts just as bad. Any tips or tricks to help me feel better while I'm waiting it out.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Well there is always the natural soup remedy but that might be the same as the water and the Halls. Something that helps clear me up when I get like this is eucalyptus oil...it really does wonders and it cleared me right up and sooths your throat :)

If these do not work then unfortunately you will have to just wait it out...but in the mean time do things to distract you that do not involve your voice. Watch your favorite movies, read your favorite books, or talk with friends online...I hope this helps and you feel better soon :)))Health Question & Answer
