If not flat footed, then they have hip or knee problems that stop the foot being put on the ground in the 'normal' manner. In older life it can cause very bad lower back, knee, hip and ankle problems, so best get some professional orthotics fitted (they fit into your shoes) and re-train yourself to walk correctly.Health Question & Answer

People who have this problem are more than likely flat footed. If this is your case, you will need to see a podiatrist for treatment. You can try to treat it yourself with special inserts that fit inside your shoes to help correct the problem. A foot specialist will make orthotics specially designed for your feet. If you do not get it treated, you will indeed cause injury, develop deformities, and live in pain.Health Question & Answer
