I'm trying to find a common factor for triggering neuropathy or gbs?!

Question: I'm trying to find a common factor for triggering neuropathy or gbs.?
i had a stomach virus that culminated into neuropathy. they thought it was gbs but after several doctors it turned out to be neuropathy. i'm including some things here that happened to see if something rings a bell with someone else.

during the onset of the virus someone offered me "the purple pill" , prilosec, i think. i don't know, but it probably was a bad idea as the virus went full blown shortly afterwards.

when the virus was wrapping up and had all but gone, i drank several cups of coffee with a friend one morning. that is when i felt the first numbness in my hands. by that evening i was staggering and my hands had gone numb.

recently, before the virus, i built a sound room with my band in my house. we made use of drywall panels, carpet, ceiling tiles and a sound insulating board called "quiet brace" that is usually used as sheathing for the exterior of new homes. we sprayed the edges of the ceiling tiles with 3-m adhesive to prevent wafting.

the original cause of the virus was most likely undercooked chicken from a bbq. we were also drinking alcohol.

these are some, please add factors of your own that you may suspect and also treatments that are working for you. i'm recovering now after a month and am taking b-12 shots.
