Hi there I had an UPJ obstruction operation about five months ago and I was wondering if it would be okay to have some alcohol now.?, I am a bit scared in case it comes back. Ur answers would be much appreciated.Health Question & Answer

A small to moderate amount of alcohol will be digested (actually oxidized) like other foods and should not be a problem. It does cause some dilation of blood vessels, but since the procedure was months ago, that also should not be a problem, unless you haven't fully recovered. In general, it is not a good idea to consume alcohol if you are not in good health.Health Question & Answer
