Question: Why can't I hear anything....?
I have had a cold for a day or so and now my ears hurt and I cant really hear. I assume that my sinuses are blocked but no amount of pills seems to help. Any ideas.?Health Question & Answer

Your nose and ear are connected by a small tube called as eustachian tube.this maintains normal pressure in ear for normal hearing.
When you get a cold and infection,tubes opening gets blocked and their is negative pressure in ear and that stretches ear drum.this causes pain in ear and compromised hearing.that's how it goes.
this blockage occurs when their is severe nose infection.you probably have sinusitis(infection of sinuses).gets it's treatment.if you not get its treatment now ,it will become a chronic infection.

i believe it has somthing to do with guys sharing a sleeping bag,,, i guess if you don't want to have physical contact with another man and perhaps catch a cold that you might consider your true convictions over sharing that sleeping bag, and what happens between two guys that do...

I don't think it is an ear infection. I get that with colds somtimes and it goes away on its own. If you think it is an ear infection you should go to the doctor,Health Question & Answer
try chewing some gum or suck on a sweet it might help your ears to pop. it sometimes helps mine when iv a cold.Health Question & Answer
