Answers:
Before you try otc drugs...Increase your fluid intake, get plenty of fiber (fruits, veggies, whole grains)..

I'd also try eating a small cup of Activia yogurt every day..it helps get things moving!!

--These are just some suggestions to try before you go taking any laxatives (which can be kinda tough on your body). If these don't work, try Colace (Dulcolax), an over the counter stool softener.

Good luck :)Health Question & Answer

Constipation has many causes.

Poor dietary habits.
Lack of fiber in your diet.
An insufficient amount of fluid intake.
Medications
or even food

try apple ,Apples contain pectin which will add bulk to your stools and their cleansing action will encourage bowel movements. They have a laxative effect.
Banana,Bananas are high in fiber and can help restore normal bowel function.
Carrot juice The essential oils in carrot juice have an effect on the mucous membranes in the stomach and help get the bowels functioning properly. Take juice several times daily. This will help regain proper digestion. This is good for children, too.
hope this helps
