It's great to meet another vegetarian! This does sound like anemia, so it's best to get a blood test as soon as you can, and while they are at it make sure they run some tests for some other vitamins, such as B12. I had the same symptoms but tested negative, strangely. If you do have it, you don't necessarily have to jump back on the meat wagon. Eating healthy makes a difference, as in keep fried foods to a minimum and don't overdo it on carboyhydrates and extremely fatty things. For iron, whether you are low or not it is easy to get iron. Couscous is chockful of it, as are green vegetables so hopefully there's one you like. For protein, things made with tofu and soy protein are helpful (and very low in calories) if your digestive system can tolerate it. For calcium, I really like taking pills. Buy some supplements of calcium and iron at GNC, and try increasing your protein intake and see if that helps. Another thing to consider if you are female, is menstrual blood loss. If that's the source of your possible anemia, supplements along with birth control pills should help. Get tested soon!Health Question & Answer

At room temperature, anhydrous ammonia is a colorless, highly irritating gas with a pungent, suffocating odor. It is lighter than air and flammable, with difficulty, at high concentrations and temperatures. It is easily compressed and forms a clear, colorless liquid under pressure. Anhydrous ammonia is hygroscopic. Ammonia dissolves readily in water to form ammonium hydroxide-an alkaline solution. The concentration of aqueous ammonia solutions for household use is typically 5% to 10% (weight:volume), but solutions for commercial use may be 25% (weight:volume) or more and are corrosive. Aqueous ammonia is commonly stored in steel drums. Anhydrous ammonia is stored and shipped in pressurized containers, fitted with pressure-relief safety devices, and bears the label "Nonflammable Compressed Gas". Despite not meeting the Department of Transport definition of flammable it should be treated as such.

Health Question & Answer

It sounds like severe anemia or something worse. I was anemic for years in my late teens & early twenties. I felt tired most of the time & had little energy. I don't ever remember blackouts, but my hands & feet stayed cold. You need to improve your nutrition & see a doctor.

Best of luck to you. I hope you feel better.Health Question & Answer
