Get it checked out by a doctor. Yes it could be just an ear infection. But it could be worse. I have now had 3 surgeries for Cholesteatoma, it is a benign tumor. The tumor caused hearing loss in my ear. It is not a fun thing to go through. I just recently had the third surgery in october. The other two surgeries were 4 years ago, I started having hearing loss again and was too lazy to go back into the doctor and when I finally did, I found out I had 3 more tumors grow. I am not saying this is what you have, but an ear infection that has not been properly treated can cause these tumors to grow, and I would be extremely concerned for the hearing loss. Ear infection. It could be caused by something as simple as the wind blowing stuff into your ear. Get it checked out before you get vertigo for 4 months (happened to me). So get it checked out. Health Question & Answer
