Vaccinations and Autism?!
Question: Vaccinations and Autism.?
Another vaccination question from me today...Has there been a study done where they've taken X number of people who have been immunized and an equal number of non-immunized and counted how many of each group had Autism.? If so, do you know the results or can you give me a link.? Or, is the information out there about how many of each group have Autism in the whole population.?
I've been wondering this a long time. I've searched the 'net and haven't found anything that I don't think is biased one way or the other. I asked a nurse and the only information she had was that the numbers were "nearly similar" or some such. I really want actual, specific numbers, percentages, rate of occurrence.

I don't think there is any trustworthy research out there. Any studies would be done by pharmacuetical companies which prove whatever they wanted. The CDC would be the only gov't agency but the gov't requires all kids to have immunizations for school or day care. I have read studies but can't tell you if they were exactly like this. But I can tell you that vaccinations are safe. The reason for the "link" to vaccinations and autism is the age the vaccines are given is close to teh age that autism is usually discovered, IN HEALTHY CHILDREN. Not all children are healthy enough to receive vaccinations. Autism is not a new "vaccine induced" disease. It has always been around. They have found also that with the new diagnose guildlines, those being diagnosed with mild autism or high functioning autism are what is making the rise in the numbers of autism appear.Health Question & Answer
