Good news, a load of incorrect answers from those that have no knowledge at all!

Cheers, there are NO interactions between penicillins like amoxicillin and alcohol.

Always drink sensibly, but there are no medical issues!Health Question & Answer

I'm also taking Amocicillin but 250 mg three times a day. It's not advised to drink whilst taking antibiotics but if you really want to then I say don't take the tablet(s) that day. That is what I'm doing today. I'm going to a Xmas party tonight and I want to have a glass of wine. I took one tablet this morning and will resume the completed course tomorrow.Health Question & Answer

You can drink, but you really shouldn't. Alcohol affects the ability of antibiotics to do their job. If you have a post-op infection and are looking down the barrel of another operation, it is most likely best to avoid the booze.

The course of treatment was prescribed for a reason.Health Question & Answer

If you must drink a toast at Christmas or new year, stick to 1/2 pint of beer OR 1/2 small glass of wine OR 25ml of spirit and no more.
Make sure you've had some food in you first or you WILL feel sick.

Drink more than these amounts and you will most likely 'decorate' the tree. And the floor. And the walls. And have to clear it up afterwards.Health Question & Answer

DON'T DRINK! It makes your antibiotic completely ineffective! Along with that, the mix of alcohol and your pain meds can cause serious problems. Even a small amount can serious problems.Health Question & Answer

YES you can. this particular antibiotic is not affected in any way by drink. however the alcohol will take affect quicker.Health Question & Answer
