Hey,
Mercury cannot be in a powder form. it is either a liquid or a gas, and chances are, being in a lamp, it was a gas. The powder that you are talking about is just a material that glows bright white when exposed to the ultraviolet light that the florescent lamp produces and is generally not harmful.
most newer florescent bulbs have very small amounts or mercury that are generally not too dangeorus, and although it would've been a good idea to vent the room where you broke it, being yesterday, chances are the lamp has already released all of its mercury, and the mercury has already diffused to harmless levels.
I would not worry now, but in the future, if you break a florescent bulb, you should open windows and try to vent the room well, and if anyone feels dizzy or sick then they are probebley suffering from the effects of mercury poisoning.Health Question & Answer

Yes it is all you have to do (if it is carpet) facume it several times and usle like fantastic on it and scrub. if it is a floor do the same thing but mop. as for health their should be no worrie as long as the babie did not eat it or get too close to the infected area. If ur babie is vomiting consitantly then go to the er if not then everything is fineHealth Question & Answer
