I am having so very bad nightmares about my horrible past and I do not know how to stop them I always think that the people that hurt me really bad will come and kill me in the sleep.I am very scared I need some help please and some support.!Health Question & Answer

What do you mean.? Have you had an abusive past, like rape.? If that's it, you just need to know that that won't happen, and calm down. There's this over the counter medicine called Melatonin. You really need to talk to someone...your Mom, grandmother, a favorite teacher, someone at church, or maybe a guidance counselor. If you had a bad past, you need to find a way to deal with it so it won't continue to affect your sleep and it can lead to your healing and eventually forgiving. It may take some time, but you can't keep the feelings inside forever. Let them come out in a positive, structured way, because if you don't do it now, they can come out in negative ways.Health Question & Answer

You have to face your horrible past, whatever reminds you of them you do...I was hurt once really badly too and I had to face it that it happened. Any song that made me think of it I listened to and I just faced it. If you face it in your conscious you will face it in your subconscious and the dreams will go away. I don't know who they are or what they did, but facing it and giong through the pain usually helps. If you supress it, it will just get worse. Hope everything gets better! :)Health Question & Answer

awh :( i hope youu stop having them.

-why dont youu listen to music before youu go to sleep.
-take a shower before bed; it calms the mussles
-get lots of blankets so your not cold because youu get bad dreams more when you are cold.
-try relaxing your mussles before you sleep; as in saying to your self in your head:
relax the bottoms of your feet and move them around a bit and relax them fully, then move up to ankels legs and do every part of your body.

so hopefully your body is relaxed enough so youu sleep through the whole night.
or maybe talk to a doctor or something that you could get to try to sleep.?
or maybe talk to some friends about it and just get it out so its not like inside.
know that nothing will happen to youu while youu sleep;
also maybe if youu lock all your windows and door and check them maybe your mind can be at ease to know no one can get in.
also maybe youu should try a night light.?

I'm so sorry, sweetie. You really need to talk this thing out with someone. Your mind is telling you that you have unresolved issues due to what has happened that you need to deal with. If you won't see a therapist, at least try to confide in a trusted friend who has your best interests at heart. You don't need to go through this alone.

If you are an adult, and can find some good (and ideally strong) people to protect and go with you, maybe you need to confront these people about what they did. Face your fears. Most people who do these things are really cowards. Once they see how strong you are, and you see how weak they really are, they will lose their power over you.

On the other hand, if they are still a true danger to you in anyway, do not do that. It's not worth getting hurt again over. But either way, I think you need to find someone to confide in and hash this thing out. Otherwise, unfortunately, it may keep on haunting you.

Ok just relax. Before you go to bed, drink something warm and soothing. Then maybe read a little to get your mind set on something. Listen to music, or watch some funny videos on youtube lol. have you went to the doctor and told them about your nightmares . they should prescribe you something that will help you and you shouldn't have nightmare it will make you sleep all through the night without any problems.. trust if you just talk to somebody about it that won't think that your crazy...Health Question & Answer

If I were you I would go to a psychiatrist, they might help you to get over it, also perhaps try some calming exercises before you go to bed, like deep breathing or something and talk to people about your dreams, you will feel better once you get it all off your chest. I used to have the same problem. I would have bad nightmares and I would try to stay up to avoid sleep. Pretty much if I listen to music before I go to sleep it helps(classical especially), along with thinking of my good memories.Health Question & Answer

You have the ability to change your dreams. I always go into my parent's bed when I'm scared, lol. But if you aren't young, then see a doctor, or dream of ice cream. Scientists have proven eating foods high in fat can cause night terrors.Health Question & Answer

There is always a psychologist, if you're in school its free.

leave as MANY LIGHTS ON AS YOU CAN then tie strings from corner to corner with something noisy so if they com youll wake up. third put a knife under you matress not pilow, matress.
fourth read a magazine or book you like till you fall asleep.
