Question: Do I have a normal period, how many days could I be on for.?
I have just started my period and I am on my fifth day now. During the first few days it was very light but now it has changed to being very heavy- I feel like it's not going to stop! How many days do beginners stay on for.? My mum told me that some could stay on for 2 weeks- but that is very rare. I am really worried that I am not going to stop. Typically it will last 5-7 days. Though it can last as long as 14 days. If it becomes extremely heavy to the point that you are having to change your pad or tampon every hour or sooner cause it is soaked then you may need to see your doctor as it could be something else. But since you are only on day 5 I wouldn't worry. It can be heavy one day and almost non existent the next.Health Question & Answer
