Question: Using birth control to skip your period.?
I'm on 21 Cyclen-Lo birth control.. have been for 5 years (with breaks) but I have never skipped before. I'm going on vacation though in 3 days which is also the day I'm supposed to get my period, so I have been looking into this. I have read that if I just ignore the 7-day break that I normally have, and continue with a new package of pills, that I will skip the period. Does this actually work because boy will I ever be upset haha.

Yes it works. I take Lo-Ovaral and I skip the last week and start a new pack. I'll do that for 3 months and then allow myself to have my period.Health Question & Answer
Skipping a period altogether--even for months--is fairly new but yes, it seems to work.Health Question & Answer
