Question: Can Using Tampons Make Your Period Last Longer.?
It may just be me but I have noticed that when i use mainly just tampons my period seems to last longer. Recently I have been using pads and disposable underwear because my bleeding has been extremely heavy, I haven't been doing this for long but it seems that my periods are shorter when i don't use tampons or only use them very sparingly. It seems that it would make sense that not using tampons would speed up and shorten the length of you period...any thoughts.?Health Question & Answer

U know I thought I was the only one thinking that. But, it seems like that to me to.. Its like with a tampon your flow is blocked off.. But without it, it just flows freely.. But that is just what I think from my personal experiences.Health Question & Answer
It could be an urban legend but I heard that the tampon companies use a special species/breed of cotton in tampons because it actually induces your body to produce more blood, thus keeping the consumer in need to tampons. The longer the period the longer you need/use tampons.Health Question & Answer
What you use has nothing to do with it. My friends all use tampons and their periods are always the same lengths for the most part. Just use what you feel most comfortable with.Health Question & Answer

well really pretty much all that stuff no matter what you use makes it last longer, thats how they make money. they had an article about it. Theres an ingrediant they use and I cant remember what it was now but im sure you can google it and find it, i think it starts with a z but i may be wrong. but that gets in your system and makes it last longer but girls dont notice, so what could be a 3 or 4 day one will last about a week. normally its the kotex brand that has this in them. but more companies are relizing they can profit.Health Question & Answer
