Did I have my period? ?!

Question: Did I have my period.? .?
Yesterday when I was going to the bathroom I relized that there was bright red blood on my toilet paper...I'm pretty sure it was spotting but I don't know for sure. I'm 13, and I have had discharge for a couple of months now. I dont know if it's my because I don't have cramps and I feel fine...I haven't had it today but I herd that if it was your first period that you might not get it for a couple days after that...but I'm still not sure-

Yes it sounds like you just started your period. The period calender, I believe, is that you count 28 days from the LAST day of your period, and the 28th day should be the start of your next period. However, it can be longer or shorter. My periods are usually anywhere between a month to a month and a half apart, but I believe 28 days is the average for most women.Health Question & Answer

you had your periodHealth Question & Answer

Well even though I'm a guy, my daughter went through this so I can answer it. In the first place, your period is on its way. You don't have to cramp in order to have a period. If this is your first period then yes it can start and then go away. This also happens with women who have had their period for several years. Your body is just letting you know that your period is getting ready to start up. I'm sorry that you are starting your period, it's one of those things that will eventually make you so ill nobody will be able to stand you, then you will eventually get to the point of cramping and when summer comes you may not feel like going out or getting in the pool. The hot summer sun tends to make women hurt worse.Health Question & Answer
