Everyone gets those, they're just blood clots. It happens because you the lining of the womb which is what you lose during a period gets shed a little bit faster than it can be broken down. They are associated with heavy periods so if she considers her periods to be extremely heavy- ie not what she'd consider normal- then it's worth going to the drs. I went when mine got to the point where I was going through a nighttime towel in a couple of hours. If she doesn't think her periods are particularly heavy then don't worry about it, it's normal to lose clots.Health Question & Answer

If there's no additional pain then I'd not worry too much - lots of women i know have clots. All blood clots and this is no different.
There are many conditions like cysts and fibroids etc but I wouldn't be worrying if there are no other symptoms. If she has any concerns her only safe option is to go to her surgery and see the nurse there if she isn't keen on seeing the doc.
Put period problems into google and you'll get millions of sites that she can read up on.
All the best xHealth Question & Answer

Hi please don't panic a lot of women get clots when they have their period I get them all the time maybe the lining of her uterus is thicker than normal (mine is) and this causes clumps of "debris" to come out while having a period they just look like big blood clots, this can happen with severe cramping or sometimes none at all.
Good Luck with the tests :)Health Question & Answer

Everyone I know gets clumps of blood/tissue during her period. It's normal.

However, if it's more than usual, she should definitely have it checked. First thing that came to mind.? She may have miscarried and not even known it. That would account for all the extra clumps/tissue.

Good Luck!Health Question & Answer

Yes its more than likly just clots there is no pain or anything so i would not worry just get it checked, you see a womans cycle shanges many times over the years not just when their teenagers or menopause but all through their life so this is propbably just another changeHealth Question & Answer
