No your question isn't stupid at all. First of all I am sorry if you have been diagnosed with endometriosis, it is a hard thing to deal with. I was just diagnosed in the last year. To answer your question, no endometriosis doesn't go away. Even if you have a hysterectomy or have it surgically removed, It is always there growing. You can treat the symptoms of it, but as of now there is no cure. The reason that getting pregnant can help suppress the growth is because the endo thrives on Estrogen. You can also do hormonal treatments like Lupron, Depo Provera and a handful of others but since there is no cure it is pretty much a guessing game as to what treatment combination will help you. I am sorry if you are dealing with this, it is very frustrating and defeating at times. I hope that this helps and that you feel better.
