Ovarian cysts help?!?!

Question: Ovarian cysts help.?!.?
Most people are telling me that I probably have ovarian cysts because of my basal body temperature that hasn't gone down. I'm still between 97.7-98.6 and my normal temperature is between 95.6-96.5. My husband and I HAVE been trying to conceive and still haven't got my period yet and no positive pregnancy test. Does this sound like I may have an ovarian cyst.?Health Question & Answer

Sorry, I didn't mean to worry you. I definitely remember reading it somewhere. I think it was Taking Charge of your Fertility. I've just had a flick through but I can't find it now.

Here is the answer to your question about elevated temps that is on www.fertilityfriend:

I am way past my usual luteal phase length, but pregnancy tests keep coming back negative. Could I be pregnant.?

There are at least three possibilities, all requiring the attention of your doctor:

The first possibility, if your chart does not show a clear ovulation pattern, is that you did not actually ovulate where you believe. You may have ovulated later or not at all, which would mean that you are not really "late" and that would explain why you are not getting positive results on your pregnancy test. If you consistently do not get a clear ovulation pattern on your chart, you should talk to your doctor and bring your charts along so that he or she can help you determine what might be going on with your cycle.

You might be getting false negative results on your home pregnancy tests. Ask your doctor for a blood test to determine whether or not you are pregnant.

There might be something besides pregnancy that is keeping your period away. Your doctor can help you see if this could be the case.

Ok, it's a bit vague. But if you definitely did ovulate when you think you did and you haven't got your period then you are either pregnant or there is some other sort of other problem there. Either way, you need and deserve a bit more attention from your doctor. Take your chart along to show him. And if he fobs you off still, tell him you want a second opinion!Health Question & Answer

Take care!Health Question & Answer

If it is a luteal cyst, it's not something to get worried about. It's just the corpus luteum that forms during the second half of your cycle. It usually goes away right before you get your period (I think before.?.?) when it stops producing progesterone. In the case where it continues to function, it keeps producing progesterone, keeping your temperatures high and AF away. I wasn't trying to scare you either. I just think that you should get the ultrasound to verify what it is. Your doctor is really making you jump through hoops! You're a lot more patient than I am. I would have told her to stuff it already.Health Question & Answer

It is possible. Ovarian cysts cause irregular periods-tender breasts-stuff related to pregnancy. It depends on the size for you to be able to feel them. Some people dont know they have one. The only way to see is if you go for an ultrasound. I just had one, it was very painful. But they go away on there own, it just takes time.Health Question & Answer

I'm not sure. I've had a few cysts. One was really painful, but one I didn't even know of until an ultrasound picked it up-and it was very large, they thought it was a tumor. So it varies. However, I always had a period with my cysts. I think you and I both need an ultrasound. If our ultrasounds are clear, I'm not sure what we'll do :(Health Question & Answer

I don't think so,if you had an ovarian cyst it would hurt cause when I have mine it hurt like hell and I wasn't able to walk straight but it all depends on the ppl why dont you go get some blood works done to make sure and you could go see the gyno to make sure too that would help alot.Health Question & Answer
