I'm worried about excess skin? What are the chances? ?!

Question: I'm worried about excess skin.? What are the chances.? .?
I want to lose around 40 pounds, I've already lost about 20 of that. Will I have excess skin in my stomach area, mainly my gut.? I'm 16, and i've lost that 20 lbs in around 3 months. So, will I have sagging skin.? Will toning while losing help me out.? Thanks!Health Question & Answer

At 16, and with you wanting to lose only about 40 lbs, no, you probably won't have extra skin. The extra skin problem is more associated with 100+ lbs, and usually on people older than you.Health Question & Answer

It all depends on the elasticity of your skin. Do toning exercises and it should help. If you have stretch marks or anything, that's a sign of poor elasticity (the ability of your skin to bounce back) and you are more likely to have sagging skin. If you don't have problems with stretch marks, it should be fairly easy to tone up.Health Question & Answer

I lost 40 pounds due to illness in a year. But, I did not have too much loose fat. You will just need to exercise some to help firm up. But, it is even better if you are exercising while you are losing the weight.

Congratulations on the hard work to lose the weigh. Hang in there. It will be worth your effort and you will look wonderful. I would not worry about the excess fat. It will work off.

Good Luck and Best Wishes :)Health Question & Answer

Losing the weight slowly will cause your skin to shrink some. At the age of 16, your skin still has good elasticity so you shouldn't have any sagging skin. Keep up the good work on your weight loss!Health Question & Answer

exercise and tone your body and you won't.Health Question & Answer
