Question: How often do I change it.?
I just started using tampons a few months ago. About every 2 hours I need to pee. I cannot pee with a tampon in. For me its just physicaly impossible, it just won't come out when I have on in. So I have to take out the tampon when I need to pee. This seems so wasteful. I do not need to be changing a tampon every two hours, but I also can't pee with one in, so what do I do.?Health Question & Answer

Hold the tampon string out of the way. That's how. also, make sure the tampon is very high inside yourself.

If the tampon is fitted properly and you can't feel it, you shouldn't have any problems weeing. Relax (it isn't going to fall out!) and start peeing slowly, it will happen. If you STILL can't do it then you'll have to change them every two hours.
What could also help, is a menstrual cup. They are like tampons only reusable so not wasteful, better for the body, and easier (for me) to insert and remove. I am 14 and have never really felt comfortable with tampons, it makes me feel all dry and itchy. Plus if you can't pee with that in, you can take it out, pee and put it back in! Some brands to look up if you're interested: Mooncup, Diva Cup, LadyCup, etc.
