Should I be worried or go back to my clinician?!

Question: Should I be worried or go back to my clinician.?
I first started taking an oral contraceptive about a year ago. I was prescribed the combination pill, but had to change because of some serious headaches I'd had all my life. The combo pill was giving me numbness and pains in my arms and legs. Next they prescribed me the progesterone only pill, "Ortho Micronor." The pain and numbness subsided after a few weeks. However, I've begun to get my period every three or four days for three to seven days at a time with irregular flow (sometimes very light, sometimes heavy). It's been this way for about three months now. Should I be concerned.? I no longer feel any pain other than intense cramps once a month, which I've always had. What could this problem mean.?Health Question & Answer

I'd go back to your doctor it doesn't sound like that's the right pill for you either. It can take time to find the best type of birth control for you and there's no point suffering in silence. Go back and tell the doctor what's happening that kind of erratic bleeding is indication that your body still hasn't found a happy balance.Health Question & Answer

just that the pill is causing you irregular bleeding... the first pill i tried made me bleed for i think three weeks out of the first month i was on it so i switched and have had no problems since. this pill probably just ins't right for you and you should consider switching again until you find one that's rightHealth Question & Answer

Check with the pharmacist or the clinician. Your body has gone through several changes between these different meds, and may still be adjusting.Health Question & Answer
