im 13 and i just started my period 2 weeks ago..im done for this month and trying to put in a tampon and cant find the hole!!!!! help! im 13 and 5'4 ...86 lbs...it may be cuzz i have a small body the opening is small.?.? i really need help so plz answerHealth Question & Answer

dont listen to dudaxbby before me, you can start using tampons whenever you want. you probably couldnt get it in because you arent on your period anymore, so your vaginal muscles arent contracting... also, there is not enough liquid from your period... it acts as kind of a lube. you could try standing in front of a mirror, and opening your labias and you will see the opening. if its not going in easily, put a bit of vaseline on the tip... that will help it slide in. also, point it kind of towards your lower back, not straight up. there are instructions in the pack.

What I had to do when I started using tampons was find the hole and stick my pointer finger in first, and use it as a guide for the tampon.
If you can't find the hole at all, theres a few things you can do
- If your mom or sisters have tampons around, find the directions in the box, it will kind of give you a guideline to wear it is
- you can look on the internet, if you have access to it in privacy
- you can ask a really close [girl] friend/family member to help, if your not embaressed. My little sister actually asked her bff to help her... I personally would never have done that! lol
- also try touching down there, just to figure out where everything is. It doesn't go straight up, your vagina is slanted up and back. Squatting, or sitting on your toilet with your legs spread will help aswell.
Just remember to be safe, and not leave a tampon in too long (absolutley no more then 5 hours) or you could get TSS (although it's very rare) so needless to say you probably shouldnt sleep with a tampon in, just as a precaution.

sit on the toilet and spread your you know what apart.. you SHOULD be able to see the opening on your vagina, its below your pee hole which is very very small so you might not see that, but it doesnt matter.
