I am african american as you could see lol im light skinned but not to light i have these blotches that are lighter than my skin color but not white there like a lighter brown anyone know what it could be thanks for your helpHealth Question & Answer

There is a medical condition called vertiligo which causes paler patches of skin to appear on black people's skin. Apparently Michael Jackson has it (which explains his change in skin colour over the years). There might be some kind of treatment, but I am not sure. You would have to show your doctor. It isn't contagious.
It could also be some sort of a fungal infection or something.
Go see a doctor. They will be able to give you much better advice.

It could be a skin reaction to something you ate or something new you have put on your skin. You also could have a reaction to make up or not drinking enough water. Finally, there are over the counter skin lightening creams. Go and aks your doctor who could take the necessary tests like seeing if your acidic levels are high ( this would be the lack of water thing mentioned earlier).

Spend time in the sun without proper protection.?
If so it can be slight skin discoloration which can happen over time
but you sound pretty young. Plus african americans are incredibly blessed with a high content of natural UVA-SPF.
