Bladder question....................!

Question: Bladder question....................?
Does urinating really frequently cause your bladder to become spastic to where you can hold less in less urine it it.? In other words, if I have an overactive/painful bladder condition, did I cause it by peeing too often in the past and now my bladder has learned that it can't hold any urine.?Health Question & Answer

Interstitial cystitis is aboslutely a real diagnosis; your counselor is way off base there. It is unknown what the precise cause of IC is (diet and autoimmune conditions are two of the more popular theories), but that doesn't mean it isn't a real condition. Peeing too often in the past might have caused your bladder to become accustomed to holding less urine (although that should be reversible over time by forcing yourself to hold it longer, if that were the case), but it's extremely unlikely to have caused the IC.Health Question & Answer

I am going for the hydro distension of the bladder on feb. 9th. My urologist says that he can already tell me that he is almost 100% sure I have it! The procedure is the only way to diagnose it though. It is a real condition and it makes you feel like you have to pee all the time. also you get pain in the abdomen especially if you eat or drink something that contains acid! Change your diet to organic foods and check labels for acid content and it helps. You can also ask your doctor for pyridium plus, a medication that controls bladder spasms and helps with pain.Health Question & Answer

I have never heard of that lol. It sounds like you just have a urine infection. Go to the doctors. Try and get there a little earlier then your a appointment and ask the person behind the counter for a urine sample pot, go to the bathroom and pee in it. Then when in the appointment give it to the doctor and he/she will test it by putting a stick in it and give you the right medications for it. For further information.. Feel free to email me :).Health Question & Answer
