First off I have the IUD (mirena) in me. Ive only had 2 periods since having it in since March 08'. I had my 2nd one 5 days ago. Today in school i looked down an noticed i had blood everywhere. Thank god i had an extra pair of pants. Wen i got to the bathroom an wiped i noticed a chunk on the tissue. An im havin real sharp pains. I called my doc as soon i came home and he's not there all week an the nurse said they wanna see me rite away on monday! I have been thinkin im pregnant for the last couple days!
Whats goin on.? Am i pregnant.? Was i pregnant.? What should i do.?
The nurse also said this shouldnt b happenin an if i continue to bleed an have pain to go to the ER!... The bleeding has milded down now :( HELPPPPHealth Question & Answer

Answers:
This bleeding is definitely abnormal and the nurse is probably concerned that you have perforated your uterus with the IUD. Keep your appointment with the doctor on Monday, but if you have excess bleeding in the meantime, go to the ER right away. You could go anyway if you think you are pregnant and they can do a blood test for you.

did you have sex.? if you didn't, then no you aren't pregnant. if you did, then yes, possibly. its hard to tell over the internet. you should definitely go to the walk in though, or the ER, especially if the bleeding keeps up. that way the doctors can make sure that you aren't reacting to the birth control, and it got inserted properly. thats the best advice i can give you sweetie. good luck. :)Health Question & Answer

Well, you get get pregnant unless you have had sex. Have you had sex.? Maybe you should start taking birth control pills.Health Question & Answer
